It's been reported that John Cleese is working on turning his movie A Fish Called Wanda into a musical for theater. He previously waived his royalty rights to the Eric Idle-created Spamalot because he didn't think it would be a success. Now that it has been, he...wants to cash in on it? Sort of?
I'm not sure if my friend Jamie, the biggest Monty Python fan I've ever known, will be happy or sad by this news. She hasn't seen Spamalot yet, but I know she wanted to.
