Daily Eye Candy
Promo pics of Tahmoh Penikett and Fran Kranz of Dollhouse. I'm diggin' Fran's new hair. And Tahmoh's arms.
Dorian Gray trailer
I haven't read the book, but I have a feeling this goes a little off the rails from the original story. Am I right?

WTF
I stopped watching Smallville about three episodes into the first season despite how pretty the cast was because it wasn't fun or clever or well acted, and also because I think Superman as a super hero is lame, so maybe I'm off the mark here but...
...does that look like Superman's costume to you? Because to me it looks like something Jimmy Fallon would wear in a Barry Gibb Talk Show skit on SNL.

This looks...familiar.
Ausiello interviews some of the Lost cast
And yes, I'll stop posting about Comic Con soon. I didn't do it all weekend so I could do a big dump of fun info once it was over.
The main reason I wish I'd been at Comic Con this year
AND he's a Firefly fan? I love him so much.

Get well soon, MCA.
Adam Yauch, A.K.A. MCA, of the Beastie Boys has announced on the band's website that he has cancer in his salivary gland. He'll be undergoing surgery and radiation, and luckily the cancer is localized in just the one area.

Not-so-Daily Star Trek
I do adore those two boys.
It was kinda like going home
After the show, however, I totally bit it on the sidewalk. Scraped myself in multiple places, had to get a bandaid for the most bloody one, broke my camera. Fortunately I don't embarrass easily, and I just sat there and laughed while three of the band's crew ran over to see if I was ok. Oh, clumsiness.

No Saracen makes me sad
It's been rumored that Zach Gilford would only be doing a few episodes of Friday Night Lights next season before going off to college, but I'd hoped that things would change. They didn't, and he, along with Adrienne Palicki and Minka Kelly, will be leaving the show.
A new casting breakdown came out for new series regulars and recurring roles, all kids that go to East Dillon.
Vince: A charming yet dangerous East Dillon junior. He's African-American and, when we first meet him, he's running from the cops. Look for Coach Taylor to put his speed to better use as a member of the Lions. Series regular.
Luke: Vince's classmate and arch nemesis. He's Caucasian, cocky, and charming. Reminds some of a young Paul Newman. Dillon's new geographical breakdown has him playing for the Lions, and he's not happy about it. Series regular.
Jess: The super-energetic daughter of a onetime NFL hopeful, she knows the game inside and out. When she's not busy coaching her younger brothers, this sophomore/junior is getting crushed on by every guy in Dillon, East and West. Series regular.
Becky: A freshman beauty queen whose family is purebred trailer trash. Think Blair Waldorf with lousy genes. She finds Riggins in bed with her mother and reacts by trying to seduce him herself. Recurring.

While I will miss Matt Saracen more than I can tell you, I'm excited to see where the show is going to go from here.
Brothers trailer
Well, it took Hollywood long enough to cast Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire as brothers.

It's Ryan Reynold's year
It seems that Ryan Reynolds is finally turning into Hollywood's go-to actor for every type of movie. After proving he could do a comic book role in Wolverine and getting a spin-off greenlit and dominating the rom-com category this summer, now he's been cast in the much coveted role of Green Lantern.
It's about time Hollywood realized what a commodity he is.

Now he just needs to WIN one
Neil Patrick Harris is in negotiations to host this year's Emmy awards, which after his successful hosting of the Tony's last month doesn't surprise me. The man is ALL talent.
ETA: It's looking pretty official, folks!

Finally!
Bill Nighy got his wish: he has officially been cast in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as none other than the Minister of Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour. Why the Minister wasn't written into Half-Blood Prince I'll never understand, especially considering he actually interacts with Harry in that one, and technically isn't in Deathly Hallows at all other than a few mentions. But, whatever. I need to separate the movies from the books and just try to enjoy them for what they are. And I do really like Bill Nighy.
