Flash Forward
It looks cool, but it also looks like the type of show that'll get canceled after a few episodes because it's high concept, must watch each week TV. Remember The Nine? People didn't hang around for that long either.

It made my heart swell three sizes

Last night Fox debuted the pilot for their new fall show, Glee. If you watch American Idol, then you've seen the commercials for months now. And, in general, I'm not much a fan of musical theater-y type things, so I wasn't sure I'd like this show.
Boy, was I wrong. It's fantastic. You can watch the pilot on Fox On Demand, and you should if you didn't see it last night. I can't wait for the season to start. This show is appointment television.

Oh, Joel McHale. Does this mean you're leaving The Soup?!
Have I mentioned my intense love for Joel McHale? It exists. And now he's going to be on a sitcom on NBC. Hopefully it's funnier than Parks & Recreation, which despite the cast I just can't get into.
Here's the teaser:
Looks pretty great, actually.

Awesome Chuck casting news!

My favorite Hobbit and Lostie Dominic Monaghan will be guest starring on Chuck this season. Any time Dom gets work, I'm happy. He's a sweetheart and very talented.

DUNDER MIFFLIN INFINITY!
How excited are you that The Office returns tonight? As excited as I am? You should be. Despite the less than stellar first half of last season, the show is still funnier than most sitcoms on TV, and I'm so happy it's back.

John "Muppet Face" Krasinski. Gotta love him.

Because Mondays are so packed

If you're feeling the crunch on Mondays at 8 PM like I am, and dreading next week when Chuck is thrown into the mix, you can catch the premiere episode on Hulu this week. It doesn't solve the issue for the rest of the season, but it helps manage next week, at least.

Villains

Girlcrush news.

While I think that much of the truncated Season 2 of Heroes sucked ass, there were a few highlights. One of those was my girlcrush Kristen Bell recurring as Elle, the girl who can shoot electricity from her hands. All I wanted last season was to see an Elle/Sylar fight. Maybe I'll get my wish this season, since Kristen will be on at least 13 episodes and will be given more depth and a back story.
Heroes returns with Volume 3: Villains next Monday at 9 PM/ 8 PM Central.

Fandom smash

According to Michael Ausiello, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester will be guest starring on 30 Rock this season...in a flashback to Liz Lemon's past. Can't say it's not good casting. But then, 30 Rock is kinda brilliant.

I recommend this show
Thank to Fox's re-air of the whole first season, I've now caught up on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, just in time for the season 2 premiere next week. I have to say, I really enjoy the show, and the rumors are true: once Brian Austin Green joined the cast, the show got exponentially better. Strange, I know, but true. He's awesome.

Oh, Matt Seracen, how I love you.

If you're an avid Friday Night Lights watcher like me, you may have wondered where little Matt's mom is. He lives with his grandma and his dad's in Iraq (again, after a brief furlough home), but nothing's ever been said about Mama Seracen.
Until now.
Kim Dickens, from Deadwood - a show I've sadly never seen - and from a couple episodes of Lost, where I liked her a lot, is the lucky actress cast to play Matt's mom. I hate that I have to wait until 2009 to see my show. :(
Heroes just might get awesome again

Seth Green and Breckin Meyer are set to guest star on this season of Heroes. As comic book nerds. OMG. It almost doesn't get better than that!
One time, I met Breckin Meyer's dad. How random.

Friday Night Lights news

I'm starting to get scared that Jason Katims is trying to ruin how perfect this show was on purpose. Fine, add new characters - I like Janine Turner, good casting - but making Tami the principal of the high school? After a year of being a guidance councilor? After she got that job with...little to no experience?
This used to be the most realistic show on TV about high school and teenagers and adults and family and PEOPLE, and then there were murders and outdated racism and one-night stand pregnancies and getting rid of Scott Porter and...what the fuck?
