Really?

Looks like The CW picked up the new 90210 for a full season. I have to ask why, though. I mean, the idea was nostalgic-y fun, casting Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty even more so, but the show SUCKS. It's really poorly written. It's really lame in a way that's not even worth sitting around making fun of it or turning it into a drinking game. I'd rather watch Prison Break, and I pretty much hate that show, but at least its unrealistic plot lines are funny to the viewer.

If you want good shows about teenagers in high school, watch Gossip Girl and Skins.

What's the point of watching then?

I do love Kelly Taylor, but she isn't enough to keep me too interested in the new 90210. It's really that bad, in case you didn't know. And now I read this:

Reporter: Now, the most recent 90210 episode had a reference to Dylan, does that mean that we'll see you there soon?
L.P.: They own the name and likeness.
Reporter: That’s a yes or no?
L.P.: That would be a no.

No Dylan McKay? I think I'm out. Show's going to be canceled anyway, I'm sure.

Another 90210 post?

OK, I admit it, I'd really like to see Tori Spelling reprise her Donna Martin role. There, it's out there. Sure, Tori's not a good actress, but how can it be 90210 without Donna's drama?

Apparently, Jennie Garth is upset about it. And Shannen Doherty says they didn't "get the numbers right" so maybe the reports are wrong. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh, and I'm still holding out hope for a Dylan appearance.

9021-uh oh.

Apparently things aren't going so well over at the CW if they're planning on basing the fate of the network on whether the new 90210 is a hit.

Strangely, I had a dream last night that had Brenda Walsh in it. I need to stop watching old re-runs on SoapNet.

There aren't any questions about Dylan!

Take the Old School 90210 Quiz here. I got 100%.

...Is that sad?

Why bother with the new cast at all?

Will Shannen Doherty be joining Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling on the new 90210? It's a possibility.

But tell me, will they be getting Luke Perry back? You can't have Brenda and Kelly and no Dylan.

I'm not gonna lie, I'll probably watch this.

It doesn't look as brilliantly cheesy as the original, but I think that's because it's a whole new generation of cheese. A new kind of cheese. Or...an new spin on an old concept. Like taking bleu cheese, but spraying from a can.
