Thank you for the music that shaped my childhood. For Thriller and Billie Jean; Beat It and Smooth Criminal; Man in the Mirror and Don't Stop Til You Get Enough; P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) and Dirty Diana; I'll Be There and We Are The World. For red leather jackets and glittery silver gloves. For Zombies in music videos and monkeys as pets. For The Wiz and the Moonwalk.
No matter what happened to change the public's perception of you, no matter what happened in your personal life, the music you shared with the world will be remembered. You changed the world we lived in and made it joyous for so many, and you will be missed.
Thank you.

Very nice.
My favorite was always "Man In The Mirror" as a kid, though I admit I was so terrified of Captain E.O. that I sat backwards in the chair during the whole show and watched the people behind me's reaction instead of the actual show-- even though I made my parents wait on a ridiculously long line to get in.
I have this ridiculous picture of me in a sequined hat and underwear dancing around to MJ cassettes in my apt. I was like seven. I would post them but I think then my blog would be flagged for pedophilia photos.
