How could you compare, even for a minute, twilight to Buffy? I liked Twilight because I like cheap romance and teens movies and stuff (yes I said it) but Buffy is just a masterpiece. Sorry if I seems a bit on edge, it's just that I saw the video on many sites, and while it is greatly done (good work to the person who made it), if Edward would ever go to Sunnydale things would be quite different: He wouldn't be killed by Buffy, but by Dawn or the awesome trio of geeks. That's how pathetic he is.
Oh, I don't compare Twilight to Buffy; it's other people that do. I thought Twilight was a poorly written series with a weak female "role model" that offers little to the betterment of young girls, and shouldn't be nearly as popular as it is. It's sad to me that all these teenage girls look at Bella and think "I want to be her because Edward is sooooo sexy" when what the message Stephenie Meyer is sending is "swoon over a stalker, wait until marriage to have sex, and get pregnant right away so you can see that your sole purpose as a woman is to be a mother", when the real message should be "this dude is creepy, you can be a strong woman with or without a boyfriend, wait until you're mature enough to have sex, and be careful when you do."
Buffy, on the other hand, is one of the most brilliantly crafted series of television, which almost always gave the message that being a strong woman is possible. You know, that whole Spike-tried-to-rape-Buffy-and-later-she-took-him-back plot point aside.
I like your take on the female heroine in both series, Twilight conveys the image of a pretty weak female whose sole reason to live or goal in life is to be next (or should I say under) that guy.
I miss the time where vampires were fearless, vicious creatures of the dark. Nowadays they all have souls,go to school, and all they do is sparkle in the sun lol

I miss real Vampires too. Lestat. Dracula. Angel. Spike. Sexy but dangerous, and COULDN'T GO OUT IN THE DAYTIME FOR FEAR OF BURSTING INTO FLAMES.
