Showtime has picked up a series, United States of Tara, created by screenwriter/Oscar winner/Entertainment Weekly correspondent/ex-stripper Diablo Cody. The series will star Toni Collette and John Corbett and is due to air in 2009.
According to the Yahoo press release, the show will be about a woman with dissociative disorder, and how she and her family deal with the different personalities that emerge. Sounds interesting. I'm sure the dialogue will be snappy bordering on self-congratulatingly clever, just like in Juno. But, I liked Juno a lot, and I love Collette and Corbett, so I'll give this a try.
