Television Without Pity has an interview with Craig Thomas, one of the creators of How I Met Your Mother up right now. It's not spoilery, really, but gives decent hints about things to come.

Howard Stern got married.

He said it would never happen. I was listening to his show when he got divorced, when he met Beth Ostrofsky, when they moved in together, and he always said he'd never get married again. Well, now he has. Congrats to the happy couple. I've always been a fan of his, and I hope their marriage is a great one.

Kirk Cameron is crazy.

This is old news - old in that it's from over a week ago - but I just read about it. Kirk Cameron had his wife stand in for an on-screen kiss in a movie he did because he "vowed to only kiss her" when they got married. Dude. You're an actor. Actors kiss other people. If you don't want to do that, don't take roles with kissing. Relax. I seem to remember Chelsea being on Growing Pains too, which means she just might understand if her husband has to kiss another lady as part of his job.

On the other hand, I suppose it's nice that he's so committed. But still. You're. An. Actor.

Should be a good night of TV

I've never watched The L Word, but I really enjoyed Secret Diary of a Call Girl, so this news about the show getting a second season makes me happy. I'm also looking forward to the Diablo Cody-created show with Toni Collette.

I've been registered since before I was even 18, because I was going to be 18 by the next election. I was more excited to be able to vote than any other privilege of being "of age" (which, admittedly, there aren't many other than voting). I've never missed an election since, whether they're state ones or the ever important Presidential ones.

Pass this on to people who haven't registered. They're running out of time.
