Daily Eye Candy

Promo pics of Tahmoh Penikett and Fran Kranz of Dollhouse. I'm diggin' Fran's new hair. And Tahmoh's arms.

Cabin in the Woods

Posters from Joss Whedon's new movie. Can't you tell?

What is Paul?

I love those two so much.

Dorian Gray trailer

I haven't read the book, but I have a feeling this goes a little off the rails from the original story. Am I right?

Fringe Season 2 poster

It's very Alice in Wonderland-ish.

WTF

I stopped watching Smallville about three episodes into the first season despite how pretty the cast was because it wasn't fun or clever or well acted, and also because I think Superman as a super hero is lame, so maybe I'm off the mark here but...

...does that look like Superman's costume to you? Because to me it looks like something Jimmy Fallon would wear in a Barry Gibb Talk Show skit on SNL.

Be still my heart

Mark Hoppus hugging a beluga whale. OMG. The cuteness, it kills me.

This looks...familiar.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the official poster for Jennifer's Body was one of my favorite pictures of Angelina Jolie:

And then I saw this, which I'd forgotten about because I don't like that show:

So...what's the deal, Fox? Creative block?

Ausiello interviews some of the Lost cast

Here's a nice little interview with Nestor Carbonell, Michael Emerson and Jorge Garcia from Comic Con.

And yes, I'll stop posting about Comic Con soon. I didn't do it all weekend so I could do a big dump of fun info once it was over.

Lost...In Memoriam

Also from Comic Con:

I'm not gonna lie, when it got to Charlie, I totally cried.

More from Comic Con

How great is this poster?

Seriously.

Seth MacFarlane is hot you guys. I'm still surprised every time I see him.

The main reason I wish I'd been at Comic Con this year

David Fucking Tennant.

AND he's a Firefly fan? I love him so much.

Alice In Wonderland teaser trailer

Ok, Burton, I give in. Despite how terrifying you've made Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp look to we coulrophobes, your take on Alice look fucking amazing. I can't wait!

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

I'm surprised no one came up with this sooner.

More info here. It's pretty genius, you have to admit.

Too funny

The Beatles do Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

Serenity replica

WANT.

It's got Inara's shuttle, and little Damn Heroes in the bridge and the butt lights up and OMG.

Whip It trailer

It looks AWESOME. I can't wait.

Busted for DUI in Miami

Why, Jeffrey Donovan?! I mean, really, how hard is it to get a cab if you've been drinking?

Get well soon, MCA.

Adam Yauch, A.K.A. MCA, of the Beastie Boys has announced on the band's website that he has cancer in his salivary gland. He'll be undergoing surgery and radiation, and luckily the cancer is localized in just the one area.

Not-so-Daily Star Trek

It's been a while since I posted some funny Star Trek related video, but I came across this one tonight and it made me laugh.

I do adore those two boys.

Battlestar Rhapsody...Bohemian Galactica?

It was kinda like going home

Last night my BFF and I went to see Better Than Ezra play at the legendary 40 Watt Club in Athens, one of the places R.E.M. got their start. It was my 15th or 16th time seeing them live, and just as phenomenal as every other time. Part of the reason they've been one of my favorite bands since the mid-90's is because their shows are super fun, they always sound incredible, and, of course, the songs never fail to be wonderful. It's been a long time since I jumped around, danced, and sang my heart out like I did last night.

After the show, however, I totally bit it on the sidewalk. Scraped myself in multiple places, had to get a bandaid for the most bloody one, broke my camera. Fortunately I don't embarrass easily, and I just sat there and laughed while three of the band's crew ran over to see if I was ok. Oh, clumsiness.

Daily Eye Candy

This guy, Freddie Stroma, plays Cormac McLaggen in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and is RIDICULOUSLY ATTRACTIVE.

Almost reason enough to go see the movie again*.

*The movie was awesome, and much better than all the others except Prisoner of Azkaban.

I love him.

Obama keeps proving that he's the coolest president ever.

Daily Eye Candy

Chase Utley might not play for my favorite team, or even the league my favorite team is on, but DAMN. He's so my baseball boyfriend.

*Way to go, American League! 13 years strong!

No Saracen makes me sad

It's been rumored that Zach Gilford would only be doing a few episodes of Friday Night Lights next season before going off to college, but I'd hoped that things would change. They didn't, and he, along with Adrienne Palicki and Minka Kelly, will be leaving the show.

A new casting breakdown came out for new series regulars and recurring roles, all kids that go to East Dillon.

Vince: A charming yet dangerous East Dillon junior. He's African-American and, when we first meet him, he's running from the cops. Look for Coach Taylor to put his speed to better use as a member of the Lions. Series regular.

Luke: Vince's classmate and arch nemesis. He's Caucasian, cocky, and charming. Reminds some of a young Paul Newman. Dillon's new geographical breakdown has him playing for the Lions, and he's not happy about it. Series regular.

Jess: The super-energetic daughter of a onetime NFL hopeful, she knows the game inside and out. When she's not busy coaching her younger brothers, this sophomore/junior is getting crushed on by every guy in Dillon, East and West. Series regular.

Becky: A freshman beauty queen whose family is purebred trailer trash. Think Blair Waldorf with lousy genes. She finds Riggins in bed with her mother and reacts by trying to seduce him herself. Recurring.

While I will miss Matt Saracen more than I can tell you, I'm excited to see where the show is going to go from here.

Brothers trailer

Well, it took Hollywood long enough to cast Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire as brothers.

Defying Gravity

Hello, Ron Livingston. I like it when you're on my TV.

It's Ryan Reynold's year

It seems that Ryan Reynolds is finally turning into Hollywood's go-to actor for every type of movie. After proving he could do a comic book role in Wolverine and getting a spin-off greenlit and dominating the rom-com category this summer, now he's been cast in the much coveted role of Green Lantern.

It's about time Hollywood realized what a commodity he is.

One week until Half-Blood Prince comes out!

Watch Burn Notice!

I mean, look how pretty these two are! (And also, the show ROCKS). Thursdays at 9 on USA.

You can always count on Corey Feldman to be a douche

It's one thing that the actual Jackson brothers wore the sparkly gloves at the memorial service yesterday - at least that felt like the homage it intended to be - but Corey Feldman showing up looking like this:

...well. Doesn't he just come off like the attention whore that he is?

HAHAHAHA!!

OMG, I love Robot Chicken.

Jennifer's Body trailer

Megan Fox + Amanda Seyfried + surprise!Adam Brody + high school + demon + Diablo Cody = pretty awesome.

I love clever videos

I don't know much about All Time Low, but this video impressed me enough to check out more of their stuff (plus, I'm a sucker for good pop punk). Keep an eye out for Mark Hoppus and Pete Wentz.

Remember when most videos were actually SEEN on MTV? Now you have to go to the website to see them.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

HBO's First look for HP & the HBP. Looks pretty great, actually.

Friday, July 3, 2009

Oh, Megan. *eyeroll*

And yet, I can't not watch it, you know? She's sort of brilliant.

Carriers trailer

Chris Pine's next movie is a scary one! Remember when you first read The Stand, and every time you coughed you thought you'd caught the disease? No? Just me then? Well anyway, this is kinda like that.

Finally!

Bill Nighy got his wish: he has officially been cast in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as none other than the Minister of Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour. Why the Minister wasn't written into Half-Blood Prince I'll never understand, especially considering he actually interacts with Harry in that one, and technically isn't in Deathly Hallows at all other than a few mentions. But, whatever. I need to separate the movies from the books and just try to enjoy them for what they are. And I do really like Bill Nighy.

The Informant trailer

I didn't know anything about this movie other than Matt Damon gained a bunch of weight for it, and grew a mustache. Turns out it's directed by Steven Soderbergh, and also stars JOEL MCHALE. And looks hilarious.

Couples Retreat trailer

Starring Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell, Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau and Malin Amick. It could be cute. As cute as, like, Four Christmases was, or whatever.
