This is shocking and so sad

Andy Hallett, who played Lorne on Angel for years, died last night at the age of 33. He had a history of heart problems.

My thoughts are with his family and friends. He will be missed.

How do you like your Segel?

Goofy?
Sexy?

Or with Paul Rudd?

This boy is the only reason I keep watching a crappy show.

And by "this boy" I mean Chris Lowell, and by "crappy show" I mean Private Practice. I had high hopes for that show, but it's pretty stupid, yet I keep watching in the hopes of them giving Chris Lowell something awesome to do.

Whatever. This video is funny, and supports a good cause.

LOL WHAT?!

This guy wrote a song about Battlestar Galactica, and besides being hilarious, he's wearing little red shorts! So funny.

Deathly Hallows casting news

Rhys Ifans has been cast as Xenophilius Lovegood in the final Harry Potter movie. I'm not sure how I feel about this, actually, mostly because I pictured Xenophilius Lovegood to be a bit older. But I like Rhys Ifans, so I'll take it.

I miss you already, Battlestar

Here's a video from the final table read of the final episode of the best show on television. There are tears and it's beautiful.

Well, hello!

I like your clothes, Tahmoh Penikett. I also like it when you take them off, like in last week's Dollhouse. Here's hoping to more skin tonight, hot stuff.

Happy Dollhouse Day!!

New Half-Blood Prince posters

It's nice that Snape is getting a poster, even if that means they're kinda giving away who the Half-Blood Prince is to the people who haven't read the books. (And oops, sorry if I just spoiled it for anyone, but really? Why haven't you read the books?) Ron looks awesome in his Quidditch gear, and Hermione is looking a little too skinny but otherwise very pretty. I'm so excited about this movie.

I can't say I'm surprised

According to Rob Thomas, there won't be a Veronica Mars movie any time soon. Might this have something to do with the fact that almost everyone from the show is pretty busy right now? Read all about it at Pop Wrap.

Hello Zachary Quinto

You're awfully pretty.

Grey Gardens trailer

I think Drew is going to change the minds of people who say she can't act with this one.

This looks really cute

It's called Away We Go and stars John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph among so many others.

Monday, March 16, 2009

Um, cute singer!

Who is this band?! They're called Chester French, and I learned about them from reading Mark Hoppus' blog. I need to hear more! Also, it's kind of awesome that a chick is beating the crap out of these guys in the video.

I'm totally in love with the new Kanye album

Cartoon hearts in love. It came around at the exact right time in my life for me to fall for it.

Not sure if this is necessary...

...But my friend Michelle might love the idea of it, and I want to make her smile today.

There is a MacGuyver movie in the works. Will it star Richard Dean Anderson? Probably not.

I want a lion

Sometimes I wish I'd been more ambitious about my love of animals and just gone to Africa and immersed myself in their habitat so that things like this were things I get to experience.

Sometimes I don't care that I don't get high fashion

Did you know that there's this, like, New York vs. LA thing where New Yorkers hate Angelinos because they (we, if I'm being honest, because no matter where I am, LA is my home) "don't have any fashion sense" or something? Well, because I read a lot of blogs, this is something I've learned. But I'll tell you what, I'll take my LA "lack of fashion sense" over being a snobby New Yorker who likes Alexander McQueen because he's this totally famous designer without admitting to what is actually the truth: these clothes are atrocious. (But Best Week Ever is absolutely hilarious about it).

I shouldn't laugh

This poor dog. I saw this on The Soup last week.

Oh, Joaquin.

I'm really starting to believe this whole thing Joaquin Phoenix is doing is a hoax. I mean, come on.

Here he is launching himself on a heckler in Miami.

This isn't really necessary

Sure, the 1990 mini-series version of Stephen King's excellent book 'It' wasn't great, but at least it was 4 hours long, allowing for proper plot development. Now there's talk of a big screen remake, which, besides being "updated" to present time, will also surely have to edit out lots of information about the characters and their history as well as the town's history. Do not want!

Also, Tim Curry was absolutely perfect as Pennywise; just terrifying and evil. They'll never find someone better. I still can't look at him and not see the clown make-up.

I made a biiiig mistake by Google image searching just 'Stephen King's It' to find a picture for this post, BTW. More Tim Curry as Pennywise pictures than I should ever see. I almost cried. Fucking clowns!!

Damn, RPattz.

From his upcoming spread in GQ. Hot hot hot.

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

Even with a bald cap, Jon Hamm is hot.

Maybe she's pregnant?

Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore, who just announced their engagement a few weeks ago, got married in Savannah, Georgia on Tuesday. That was very fast.

Please let this happen!

Rumors are arising that NBC is trying to broker a deal with DirecTV to have not one, but TWO more seasons of Friday Night Lights. Please, please, please. That would be awesome.

Doctor Who Companion news

I'm still not all that excited about the new Doctor on Doctor Who, but I have to say, if this casting rumor is true, having Cassie from Skins as the Companion makes it all the more interesting.

Holy awesome casting!

Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nate Corddry and Molly Parker? I will definitely be watching The Wonderful Maladys when it finally airs.

I can't wait for this!

Oh my god.

This is the cutest thing I've seen since the hedgehog eating a carrot. And people question why I don't eat meat.

Kingsford Goes to the Beach - video powered by Metacafe

Why, JJ?! Why do you have to do this to me?!

Someday I'll just have to completely cave and admit that JJ Abrams achieved the impossible: he made me like Star Trek. A Star Trek that stars Chris So Fucking Beautiful It Should Be A Crime Pine and Simon Is Always Fucking Awesome Pegg. And that day will be the day I see this movie, I'm guessing. Because really, how ridiculously awesome is that trailer?

Did you know I love Fall Out Boy?

Well, I do. Patrick Stump's voice is ridiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiculous. Here's Patrick, famewhore Pete Wentz (who continues to be adorable, I don't care what you think) (see what I did there?) and Ellen singing Britney's 'Womanizer'. It's...awesome.

TV's 50 Most Eligible Bachelors according to Buddy TV

And who's Number 1? That's right: Jensen Ackles. As if there were any doubt. I pretty much agree with the top 10, other than Mario Lopez, who I find gross as a human being, and Milo Ventimiglia only because he came in above Jared Padalecki. Jared is totes hotter than Milo.

See the whole list here.

Billy Crudup is charming

I honestly didn't know he was funny. But he is. And also: hot. Oh, and talented. I always sort of forget about him until I'm watching something that he's in and I'm struck with admiration. He's awesome.

Here he is on Jimmy Fallon's show.

By the way, I think Jimmy is doing a great job. I might be biased because I fucking adore him, but seriously, he's doing well. Watch the show. Drew Barrymore is on tonight! Oh, and go see Watchmen. I plan on seeing it this weekend, hopefully.

Hey, Misha Collins, you are lovely.

And adorable, charming, gorgeous. I want to squish his face, he's so pretty. Here's a great interview from the Independent Spirit Awards.

Public Enemies

The trailer for Public Enemies has finally been released, and it looks awesome. Not that there was any doubt considering it stars Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, Billy Crudup and Marion Cotilliard and was directed by Michael Mann.

Watch it here.

Interesting fact: John Dillinger set fire to the Hotel Congress in Tucson, Arizona, a fact I learned when I was hanging out there a few years ago waiting for a concert to start across the street at Club Congress. That hotel is creepy and totally haunted.

Exterrrrrrminate!

OMG. A Dalek was found submerged in a pond in the UK. I know it's just a prop from the show, probably left over from the old Doctor Who of the '70's, but damn, how cool must it have been to find that. For a moment, they must have thought "Holy shit, we're doomed." HAHAHA.

I love Daleks, man.

Give Justin his own show!

Or at the very least, he should be on Jimmy Fallon's show every week. Those two are obviously friends in Real Life, and play off each other well. Also, Justin is hilarious, but we knew that.

Tonight Tina Fey is the first guest on Jimmy's show. I think once his nerves work off, he'll be AWESOME.

I heart Nate Corddry

Pop Wrap has a good interview with my TV Boyfriend of '06/'07, Nate Corddry. Nate can now be seen on United States of Tara on Showtime, though his character is creepy and weird. He's still got that adorable face, and I'm just happy to see him on TV again.

Holy crap, this movie looks awesome!

Say what you will about Christian Bale and his freak out on set, I don't care. He's an awesome actor, this movie looks incredible, and I can't wait to see it.

Monday, March 2, 2009

I'll have to buy this one

As interesting as the new Vanity Fair cover with funnymen Jonah Hill, Seth Rogan, Jason Segal and Paul Rudd is, the spread inside is so much better.

...Though I don't understand exactly why Seth Rogan decided to dress up as Frieda Kahlo.

I love the one of Jason Bateman and Leslie Mann.

Jason Segal is adorable, as always.

Paul Rudd is almost unrecognizable.

Amy Poehler and Will Arnett both look so ridiculously hot I can't deal.

Can it be July 17th now, please?

I think this movie might just end up being awesome.

Watch Jimmy tonight

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon starts tonight. His first guests include Robert De Niro, Justin Timberlake and Van Morrison. Not bad for the first show. Personally, I'm hoping to see some Barry Gibb Talk Show shenanigans between Jimmy and JT.

Weeknights, NBC, 12:35/11:35CST.

That's my president!!!

I want to have a beer with Barack Obama. I'd even suffer through a basketball game for it.
